Roger is a professional figurative artist who works in a selection of media such as oils, pastels, mixed media, acrylics and water based media. His interest and skill lies in the ability to observe and portray people within their environment while capturing the sporadic effect of the natural light within the scene.

Whilst being busy as a fine artist, Roger is also a keen tutor who regularly demonstrates to Art Societies and teaches painting courses at Nutcombe Hill Studio in Hindhead and courses at Dedham Hall in Essex. He has tutored painting holidays in Italy and France and runs annual painting courses in Crete and workshops in Delaware USA.

Roger is an artist who lives locally and is active in the Surrey scene. He has just completed being the Invited Artist in Residence for The Guildford International Music Festival and has a collection of his work hanging at the Surrey University. Even so, he exhibits mainly in London and the UK, where he has recently been part of a group show of the members of the Pastel Society at the Mall Galleries in London and also at The Royal Academy. He has also had several one man exhibitions and exhibits as far as the USA where he is represented by the Peninsula Gallery in Lewes, Delaware
