Spring/Summer Events 2008 With the worst of the winter weather hopefully behind us, we have been busy preparing our Events Schedule for Spring and Summer 2008. We are excited to be showcasing the work of so many talented artists and will also be introducing new painters and sculptors to DeFined Art over the next few months. 'Lasting Impressions.' To launch the new Season, we will be previewing a mixed Show on Thursday 21st February featuring a varied and diverse collection of work from many of our Gallery artists. Join us from 6.00 pm for champagne and live jazz music while enjoying the stunning new collection. Spring Show in association with This is the Show not to miss if you are looking for new artwork to enhance your home or office. In addition to champagne and live music from our resident jazz guitarist, Geoff Rideout, a delicious assortment of canapés will be served courtesy of Waitrose Entertaining at Esher. The Preview will be held from 6.00 pm on Tuesday 22nd April. Art in Schools Finals. This is the third annual competition run by DeFined Art featuring enthusiastic students from local schools. With the aim of involving as many children as possible from age 5 to 18 years, to produce a piece of work in any medium to the theme of ‘The World Around Me’. The finals and prize giving will be held at midday on Saturday 17th May at the Gallery. All monies raised this year will be donated to The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice. Join us to see all the finalists’ work and enjoy canapés from Waitrose Entertaining at Esher. ‘A Taste of Summer’ As we hopefully bask in days of unbroken sunshine, please join us on the evening of Tuesday 17th June for the Preview of our Summer Exhibition. With selected artists currently preparing pieces for our last Show before the summer holidays, we are also delighted to be introducing work from three new artists. With live jazz and seasonal refreshments, this promises to be an event not to be missed.
